The Association Mouvement Art Contemporain is created in October 1984 with the support of Mr Claude Wolff (Mayor of Chamalières) and his municipality and thanks to the dynamism of Slobo (Painter). In the 80’s the official policy of Arts imposes the Art of “avant-garde” as contemporary. Then a important number of artists remains out of the official movement. All have estimated that there was nomore beautiful gift than giving a "Cultural forum" to the town based on Visual arts. A "Cultural forum" with a influence which is beyond regional and national frontiers.
