Why small sizes ?
"Certainly, the large sizes have advantages - they give more possibilities for the ones who focus on the external effect, who wants to impress the public by the aspect of immediate communication to mark the space of a showroom or a room or a public place. But the engraving of small size is closer to the origin of this artistic practice. It is intended to be contemplated in all intimacy, we hangs it in places we like to hold for ourself where we invite only close friends and rather often we does not hang it, we keeps it in albums and we watch them during privileged moments we regale the pleasure of contemplating the works art created by one for another. How many nuances, how much significance to find out - not only one small world but real universes of ideas, of feelings, of questions and answers !
To reveal at least a part of this universe, to encourage you with contemplation and to initiate you with visual imagination secrets through writing, that would be the goal of this exhibition of small-size engraving, small about dimensions but large about universe represented ".

Brane Kovic art critic
(First World small-size prints Triennial of 1988 Chamalières, France, 1988).
