Each country can present four artists. 120 countries currently take part in Triennial.

Artists provide five works (one of them is given to the A.M.A.C.). The selection of the artists is done by delegates (responsible for the selection of one or more countries or areas) and by the Director artistique. All printing techniques of the original print are accepted, only the format (33x25,5 cm) is obligatory.
The ten members of the international jury get together and award prizes before the Triennial can be opened to the public.
The award-winning artists can have a personal exhibition during the following Triennial.
